Job summary

Options Residential, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide compassionate care in group homes and apartment settings for individuals with mental illness, brain injuries, or substance use concerns.

Shifts include Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm with other full- and part-time positions available. Training provided; must maintain 30+ hours per week to qualify for benefits; health, dental, vision, and life/LTD insurance offered. Competitive $17.00 hourly wage.

Qualifications

• No degree is required; training provided.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid US driver's license.
• Willingness to perform personal cares (toileting, dressing, bathing).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care where appropriate and necessary.
• Assist with activities of daily living and support with hobbies and social activities.
• Administer medications as directed and ensure residents’ well-being.
• Support residents in achieving independence and personal goals.

We are a 245D licensed program which provides services to individuals who have mental illness, brain injuries, or substance use concerns. We operate 4 person group homes and individual apartment settings. Our residential services are rehabilitative, and our aim is to help individuals reach their personal goals for independence.

Schedule:

Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm. We also have other various Full and Part time positions available.

Salary Salary:

$17.00 hourly

Benefits:

Eligible 1st of the month after 60 days employment. Health insurance (ICHRA), Dental, Vision, Company Paid Life/LTD. 401k-eligible after 90 days employment. Must be scheduled 30+ hours per week to be benefits-eligible.

What do Direct Support Professionals do?

DSPs provide a variety of services to our residents, and duties vary from program to program, but may include (but are not limited to):

• Providing care giver services to our residents, including personal cares when appropriate and necessary
• Teaching and maintaining skills
• Cooking and feeding assistance
• Providing support with hobbies, studies, and social activities
• Medication administration
• And participating in fun recreational activities with residents!

What skills do Direct Support Professionals need?

• No degree is required! If you have a High School diploma (or equivalent) and are over the age of 18, we will provide all of the training that you need to provide high-quality care; no experience is necessary
• DSPs are people-oriented - they assist individuals with their care giver skills, provide Home Services, and strive to improve their quality of life!
• DSPs are adaptable and flexible - they enjoy doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction that keep their work day interesting
• They are dependable - provide efficient and exemplary personal care assistance

Minimum qualifications:

• 18 years of age or older
• Willingness to do personal cares (dressing, bathing/showering, toileting) with clients
• Valid US driver's license
• Basic computer skills
