Job summary

The State of South Dakota, Department of Human Services - SD Developmental Center in Redfield, SD, is seeking Direct Support Professionals for a full-time 40-hour work week. Compensation ranges from $20.47 to $24.08 per hour, with shift differentials and weekend premiums.

Qualifications

• Experience with teaching plans for people with developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and basic health care in care settings.
• Ability to accurately observe and report behavior and responses to treatment.
• Ability to lead tasks and provide academic guidance to individuals served.

Responsibilities

• Carry out individual training, behavior management, and therapy programs.
• Maintain a structured and healthy environment supporting the well-being of persons served.
• Provide ongoing guidance regarding life skills, academic skills, and work skills.
• Prepare routine reports and collaborate with staff to support program goals.
