Dungarvin inc in Bertram, TX is seeking a Direct Support Professional Float (DSPF) to provide clerical and direct care, helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live as independently as possible. You’ll work across programs, offering encouragement, guidance, and personal growth opportunities in a team setting.

The role emphasizes flexible hours, training, and a path to health care experience, with starting pay at $11/hour and benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of prior experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Valid Driver's License (due to transporting persons served).
• A successful background clearance is required as part of the onboarding/employment process.
• Good communication is key in this role; you’ll document care and follow support plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and more.
• Schedule appointments and outings for individuals, coordinate and provide transportation for individuals to and from the community.
• Establish and maintain individual's medical records in accordance with policies.
