Verland is currently seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Float that is responsible for individualized care and ongoing support for people in our community with complex physical, medical and intellectual challenges. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
Location: Squirrel Hill, Penn Hills, Cheswick, and Gibsonia areas
Shifts available:
Full Time- 32 hours(minimum)
The DSP Float serves as a regional staffing resource and is responsible for providing coverage at designated residential locations within their assigned region. The position requires the employee to work 3 weekend shifts a month and is expected to work a minimum of thirty-two (32) hours per week filling open shifts at earmarked locations as assigned. Staff members are required to demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, travel between assigned locations, and follow designated shift routines and assignments established by supervisors at each site.

Requirements
2 weeks paid training provided by Verland, to educate new hires on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene skills, along with each individual’s support plan/ personal development goals that are essential to improve the daily lives of the individuals that we serve. Completion of training is required at the start of employment.
