Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in Berwyn, PA is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living activities, health and hygiene, cooking, cleaning and recreation.

You will document shifts, incidents and progress, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment while supporting clients’ happiness and social integration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; foreign diplomas must be evaluated
• One year of human service experience with children, adolescents and adults preferred
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Must possess and maintain valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily living activities including health and hygiene management, cooking, cleaning, recreation and documentation (shift reports, incident reports, progress reports)
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment meeting physical, emotional and personal needs of individuals
• Support program goals and ASCEND career accelerator initiative when applicable
