Job summary

Heart Havens is seeking caring and compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to work at Macleigh & Post Oak homes in Virginia Beach, Virginia. We offer both full-time and part-time schedules with flexible shifts, including evenings and overnights.

As a DSP, you’ll support adults with developmental disabilities to lead meaningful lives, encourage community involvement, and promote independence while maintaining accurate documentation and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in direct support or DD residential setting preferred.
• Must have valid Virginia driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities and meal preparation.
• Support community outings and activities; encourage independence.
• Maintain documentation and report residents’ needs to the team.
• Provide compassionate, respectful support and follow ISP/Health protocols.
• Operate safety and documentation procedures; follow Heart Havens policies.
