Job summary

Alay Home Care in New Jersey is seeking compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving independence and a better quality of life.

As a DSP, you will provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities, support community integration, administer medication if certified, and maintain accurate progress notes while following individualized care plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in caregiving, healthcare, or DSP role preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients in community integration and social activities.
• Administer medication (if certified).
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
• Implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment.
