Job summary

Abound Health in Hackettstown, NJ is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support, helping clients live as independently as possible.

Starting pay ranges $23–$33 per hour with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments. Flexible schedules include full-time and part-time roles; paid onboarding and training, weekly pay, and opportunities for advancement

Qualifications

Empathy and patience to support individuals with IDD.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families and team.

Responsibilities

Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
Communicate with Abound Health team members, families, and external parties as needed.
Complete documentation and maintaining schedules.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
