Job summary

Abound Health in Hackettstown, NJ is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD, assisting with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently. If you are compassionate, reliable, and seeking meaningful work, we’d love to meet you!

This role offers flexible schedules, weekly pay, paid onboarding and training, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
Experience with individuals with disabilities not required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties (case managers, etc.) as needed
Complete documentation and maintain schedules
Complete ongoing training and professional development
