Job summary

Integrity Support Solutions in Matamoras, PA is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide compassionate, individualized care to adults with developmental and mental health challenges, helping them achieve independence in daily living, socialization, and community involvement. The ideal candidate is caring, detail-oriented, and able to build trusting relationships.

Prior DSP or Home Health Aide experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and acceptable motor vehicle record preferred.
• Must pass Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check and drug test.
• Possess or be able to acquire certification in First Aid and CPR

Responsibilities

• Improve and respect the lives of individuals with physical, mental, and developmental disabilities
• Assist in the implementation of individual plans and behavioral plan goals
• Update individual case notes daily with feedback regarding the strengths, skills, and performance needs of individuals
• Help individuals develop appropriate social, behavioral, housekeeping, and daily life skills
• Assist with daily living activities, including preparing meals and assisting with personal hygiene
• Assist individuals in the pursuit of recreational, social, and community activities based on their preferences and individual goals
• Provide supervision and guidance for individuals during skill-building activities
• Assist and encourage individuals in the establishment of social networks
• Develop a rapport with individuals and cultivate a safe and supportive relationship
• Ensure individuals' rights are protected
