Job summary

At Peace Health Care Agency is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. You will support daily living, mobility, and personal care while promoting independence and dignity.

Responsibilities include implementing BSPs, documenting progress, and ensuring safety in person-centered environments.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Direct Support Professional (DSP) required.
• Experience with behavioral needs and BSPs preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, patient, and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and companionship.
• Encourage independence, social engagement, and community participation.
• Implement individualized care plans and BSPs.
• Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and community activities.
• Provide reliable transportation as needed.
• Accurately document services, progress notes, and goal tracking.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
