Job summary

Help At Home is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide one‑on‑one support in the homes and communities of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role focuses on teaching daily living skills, promoting independence, and helping clients achieve personal goals with dignity and choice.

Starting pay ranges from $14 to $16 per hour, with weekly pay, paid training, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Background check and required training completed.
• Valid driver’s license with proof of insurance.
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in individuals’ homes and communities.
• Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals develop daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, grooming, hygiene, and other personal care activities.
• Provide hands‑on assistance based on individual needs while encouraging independence.
• Provide transportation and support participation in shopping, social events, and community activities.
• Help individuals work toward personal goals and recognize their progress. Promote personal choice, independence, and self‑advocacy.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care, activities, and progress.
• Communicate with team members to ensure consistent, quality support.
