Advocates is seeking a part-time role in Pulaski, NY to provide respite care and support clients with activities of interest. The position requires reliable transportation and the ability to log time, mileage, and services electronically.

Responsibilities include strong communication, leadership, patience, and reliability. Hours are two to three weekdays per week, with options for additional hours within the agency and a pay rate of $20 per hour for direct support and $16 per hour for indirect

Formación

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a valid email address.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance if required.
• Must demonstrate sound decision‑making skills.
• Must understand and support the Agency mission and the philosophy of person‑centered services and self‑advocacy.
• Must demonstrate patience and compassion.
• Must be able to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and write correspondence.
• Must have basic reasoning skills, including the ability to analyze and problem‑solve.
• Must tolerate a moderate noise level and handle distractions.
• Must be able to work physically: sitting, standing, using hands and walking, pushing or lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Provide respite care while engaging in hobbies and activities of interest to the client.
• Log each day's time, mileage, and service documentation electronically.
• Maintain open and reliable communication, demonstrate leadership skills, patience, and reliability.
• Meet required hours: two to three weekdays per week from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm or 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, with flexibility.
• Perform physical tasks including sitting, standing, reaching, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
