Job summary

Phoenix Home Care & Hospice in Warrensburg, MO seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at home and in the community. Starting pay is $17 an hour.

You will help clients reach goals, build skills, and enjoy meaningful experiences with daily living activities, while providing reliable, empathetic support in a local care setting.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 1 year related DSP experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass background and drug screenings.
• Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid training prior to first shift.
• Level 1 Med Aide Certification preferred.
• Availability for at least one weekend per month.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene.
• Helping with meal preparation and cleanup.
• Supporting light housekeeping and laundry.
• Offering companionship and encouragement.
• Accompanying individuals to appointments, errands, or community activities.
