Job summary

Phoenix Home Care & Hospice is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Sugar Creek, MO. This role focuses on compassionate daily living support in homes and communities, helping clients reach their goals and enjoy meaningful activities.

Starting pay is $17 an hour. We offer weekly direct deposit, flexible scheduling, paid training and continuing education, and multiple medical plans.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Minimum 1 year related DSP experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass background and drug screenings.
• Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid training prior to your first shift.
• Level 1 Med Aide Certification preferred.
• Availability for at least one weekend per month.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene.
• Helping with meal preparation and cleanup.
• Supporting light housekeeping and laundry.
• Offering companionship and encouragement.
• Accompanying individuals to appointments, errands, or community activities.
