Qualifications

• Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving history.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid CNA certification (only required if working in medical group homes).
• One year experience in a program serving persons with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Successful completion of all trainings as required by applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support Professional staff provide assistance and supervise residents in activities of daily living.
• Adhere to and document an individual's program as directed by supervisor.
• Provide active programming at all times.
• Adhere to standards, procedures and schedules established by supervisor.
• Functions align with certified nurse's aide regulations.
• Report any suspected abuse as required by law and policies.
