Job summary

Harry Meyering Center is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help individuals achieve personal goals in home and community settings. You will provide respectful, individualized care, assist with daily living activities, and support participation in community outings. The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S.

driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check. No prior experience is required; training is provided, and a flexible schedule is possible

Qualifications

18+ with a high school diploma or GED.
Valid U.S. driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Must pass MN DHS Background Study.
Strong communication skills required.
Willingness to learn; no experience required.
Preferred experience: CNA, PCA, DSP, caregiver, or similar.

Responsibilities

Provide respectful, individualized care.
Assist with personal cares (dressing, bathing, feeding, etc.).
Support daily living activities (cooking, cleaning, laundry).
Participate in community outings (bowling, shopping, movies, exercise).
Follow health, safety, and HIPAA guidelines.
Complete documentation and other assigned tasks.
