Job summary

Elwyn California seeks a Direct Support Professional or Registered Behavioral Technician to work with our team in enhanced behavioral residential group homes. This role will provide assistance and supervise residents in activities of daily living and implement Behavior Support and Health Care Plans.

They are responsible for adhering to and documenting a resident's program as directed by the Program Administrator, RN House Manager, or licensed staff in charge.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• RBT certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire or be a Licensed Psychiatric Technician or Qualified Behavior Modification Professional.
• Minimum 1 year prior experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities with a focus on behavioral services preferred.
• Successful completion of all trainings as required by applicable regulations.
• Must possess a current, valid driver7s license in state of residence, have two years of driving experience in the United States, and have an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assists and teaches residents self-care and activities of daily living.
• Maintains safety and supervision of the residents at all times.
• Implements Behavior Plans and Health Care Plans.
• Participates in the Interdisciplinary Team for ISP/IPP outcomes and programming.
• Assists residents in occupational, recreational, vocational, and therapeutic programs.
• Maintains a safe, sanitary, and therapeutic environment and protects residentsul privacy and well-being.
