Job summary

ASG Home Care is actively hiring Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities throughout New Jersey. This role offers in-home and community-based support with flexible hours and local cases to help individuals achieve daily living success.

As a DSP, you will work one-on-one with individuals, following ISP plans, and help promote independence and community engagement.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
Ability to pass fingerprinting, background checks, and drug screening (required).
CPR/First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain).
Prior Direct Support Professional (DSP), caregiving, or related experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide Individual Supports and Community-Based Supports as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).
Assist with daily living skills (meal preparation, hygiene, organization, routines).
Support community integration, outings, and appointments.
Encourage independence, socialization, and skill development.
Provide supervision and ensure safety at all times.
Document services accurately and timely in HHAeXchange (EVV).
Communicate effectively with families and office staff.
