Job summary

Advancing Opportunities is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to assist individuals with intellectual, developmental, and behavioral health challenges in residential and community settings in Lincoln Park, NJ.

You will provide person-centered support that promotes independence, health, and safety, working closely with residential and clinical teams to meet each individual’s needs and goals. We offer flexible, meaningful work with opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 21+ years old; valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency in reading, writing and basic documentation in English.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Preferred experience in human services or caregiving.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered assistance to individuals with developmental or behavioral health challenges.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Support development of independence and quality of life.
• Document activities and maintain logs and required paperwork.
• Transport and accompany individuals to appointments and activities.
• Maintain safety, privacy, and dignity in all interactions.
