Job summary

Merakey is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Hummelstown, PA to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with daily living activities. This full-time role offers paid training and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a nonprofit health service environment.

The position is on the 2nd shift (2:30 pm–11:00 pm) with rotating weekends. Benefits include health coverage, flexible schedules, and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• High School diploma/G.E.D. preferred.
• Related direct care experience (DSP, CAN, HHA) preferred.
• Desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
• Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills.
• Provide community support, transportation.
• Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support (as trained).
• Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs.
