Job summary

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in Hummelstown, PA to provide compassionate care to individuals with developmental and behavioral health needs. Paid training is provided, and the role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to grow within a mission-driven nonprofit.

As a DSP, you will assist with daily living activities, support personal care, and help individuals build independence while working with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• High School diploma/G.E.D. preferred.
• Related direct care experience preferred.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
• Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills.
• Provide community support, transportation.
• Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support (as trained).
• Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs.
