Job summary

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals in Hershey, PA to provide compassionate, hands-on support to individuals with developmental and behavioral health needs. No experience required—paid training is provided and the role offers meaningful daily work and community involvement.

You will assist with ADLs, personal care, mobility, meals, and life skills, while documenting progress and coordinating transportation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• High School diploma/G.E.D. preferred
• Related direct care experience (DSP, CAN, HHA) preferred.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation
• Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills
• Provide community support, transportation
• Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support (as trained)
• Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs
