Job summary

Beyond Home Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with developmental disabilities to lead independent, meaningful lives in their communities. You will support daily living activities, monitor health, and collaborate with care teams.

You will implement ISPs, provide companionship, and help with transportation and documentation, with opportunities for training, flexible scheduling, and career growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Experience with developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
• CPR and First Aid training must be completed through approved providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Implement and adhere to Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) aligning with clients’ goals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, and encourage social inclusion.
• Administer medication and monitor client health as per guidelines.
• Support clients with transportation to various appointments and community outings.
• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavioral support plans as required.
