Job summary

DABS, Inc. in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a DSP/Personal Attendant to provide individualized support to adults with developmental disabilities in living settings.

You will supervise daily activities and ensure health and safety with occasional hands-on assistance with ADLs. You will accompany the individual to appointments, document observations, participate in team meetings, and maintain logs in compliance with agency standards.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years experience with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
• Ability to follow care plans and maintain professional ethics.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support for ADLs in home and community.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, dressing, meals, light housekeeping.
• Supervise medication administration when needed.
• Transport and accompany the individual to appointments.
• Observe health/behavior changes and report to supervisor.
• Complete daily logs and progress notes per standards.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings as needed.
