Job summary

Abound Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Boonton, NJ to provide care and daily living support for individuals with IDD. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

Starting pay $23/hour for non-acuity and $33/hour for acuity, plus a $1,000 signing bonus. Flexible full-time and part-time schedules, paid onboarding and training, weekly pay, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required – paid training provided.
Ability to pass criminal, driving, and healthcare registry checks.

Responsibilities

Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
Assist with daily living activities (meal prep, hygiene, household tasks).
Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed.
Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
Complete ongoing training and professional development.
