Job summary

ASG Home Care in New Jersey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in homes and communities across the state. DSPs work one-on-one following each client's ISP to promote independence and daily living skills.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, documenting services, and building meaningful relationships. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
High school diploma or GED preferred
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
Prior caregiving experience preferred but not required
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Compassionate, dependable, and motivated to make a difference

Responsibilities

Provide individualized home and community-based support to individuals with developmental disabilities
Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation
Encourage independence and community participation aligned with each client's ISP
Document services accurately and communicate with the care team
Build meaningful, consistent relationships with the individuals you support
