Chimes is a not-for-profit organization that assists people with intellectual and behavioral challenges to achieve their fullest potential. This Direct Support Professional role supports residents in Seaford, DE and requires evening hours Monday through Friday (3PM–9PM) on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/First Aid and Mandt certifications must be active.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and supervision to individuals to ensure safety, engagement, and well-being.
• Assist with personal care tasks, including hygiene, dressing, mobility, and meal preparation.
• Implement and follow individualized care plans, supporting each person’s goals and skill development.
• Administer medications accurately and in compliance with agency policies and regulations.
• Maintain documentation of daily activities, progress, incidents, and other required reports.
• Foster community integration by facilitating participation in activities, events, and social interactions.
• Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
