Job summary

Arc of Onondaga is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for residential settings in the Fairmount and Westvale areas. Full-Time and Part-Time positions available.

You will provide hands-on assistance and encouragement to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live more independent lives. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid New York State driver's license preferred
• Prior experience in caregiving, direct support, healthcare, or human services is helpful but not required
• A compassionate, dependable, and respectful approach to supporting others
• Commitment to promoting dignity, choice, independence, and inclusion

Responsibilities

• Work with individuals to plan, coordinate, and participate in social, recreational, and community activities
• Provide compassionate care and support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a home setting

• Support the emotional, physical, and personal well-being of the people receiving services
• Assist with daily tasks, routines, and household activities
• Teach and reinforce important life skills, including money management, shopping, meal preparation, and maintaining a home

Whether you have experience as a caregiver, Home Health Aide (HHA), Direct Care Provider, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), or are simply interested in pursuing a rewarding career in Human Services, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do
