Arc of Onondaga is seeking devoted Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to work in residential settings in the Fairmount and Westvale areas. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, with flexible scheduling and opportunities to make a lasting impact on adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

You will assist with daily living, encourage independence, coordinate activities, and promote dignity and choice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid New York State driver's license preferred.
• Prior experience in caregiving, direct support, healthcare, or human services is helpful but not required.
• A compassionate, dependable, and respectful approach to supporting others.
• Commitment to promoting dignity, choice, independence, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and participate in social, recreational, and community activities.
• Provide compassionate care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a home setting.

Whether you have experience as a caregiver, Home Health Aide (HHA), Direct Care Provider, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), or are simply interested in pursuing a rewarding career in Human Services, we want to hear from you!

As a DSP, you will provide hands-on assistance, guidance, and encouragement to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them live fulfilling, meaningful, and increasingly independent lives.

What You'll Do
