Job summary

St. Joseph’s Center in Hughestown, PA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help residents with daily living activities, health needs, and meaningful community involvement.

This full-time role requires compassion, strong communication, documentation skills, and teamwork. Shifts include 3PM–11PM and 11PM–7AM, with training provided and opportunities for growth within a caring residential program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to keep accurate records and report changes in residents’ behavior or needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care: bathing, dressing, eating, personal hygiene.
• Follow residents’ program plans with the care team.
• Encourage community involvement and activities.
• Assist with health needs and nutrition.
• Maintain a safe home and respond to routine and emergency needs.
• Complete records and reports for supervisor.
• Communicate with team to provide consistent care.
• Attend required training and follow ICF/ID regulations.
• Provide reliable coverage and stay until replacement arrives.
