Job summary

Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Respite services in Oswego for a quiet autistic adult male. Services occur outside the home, with activities including art, shopping, park visits, movies, and dining.

The ideal candidate is reliable, enthusiastic, creative, and active; DSP experience is preferred. Hours are up to 10 per week, Thursday and Friday after 4pm, with a pay rate of $22.50/hour plus mileage and staff activity reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Effective communication and organizational skills required.
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
• Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide Respite services in the Oswego area for a quiet Autistic adult male outside of the home.
• Support client in community activities such as art, shopping, park visits, movies and dining.

Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Respite services in the Oswego area for a quiet Autistic adult male in the Oswego area. These services would be provided outside of the home. He enjoys being active in the community. He loves art, shopping, visiting to the park, going to the movies, restaurants and being around people.

The ideal candidate must be reliable, enthusiastic, creative, and active. DSP experience is preferred.

Hours: (up to 10 hours/week):

Thursday and Friday: After 4pm

Pay rate: $22.50/hour with mileage and staff activity reimbursements

Location: Oswego, NY

Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
