Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy of South Carolina is seeking Direct Support Professionals to train and care for residents with multiple disabilities. You will assist with daily life activities, provide transportation, and support residents in achieving their goals in a Life Without Limits framework.

The role includes documenting daily progress, ensuring personal hygiene, and following safety rules and program plans. Full-time, part-time, and on-call positions are available at our South Carolina facility.

Responsibilities

• Engage residents in activities aligned with ISP goals.
• Provide transportation and supervision as required by each program.
• Maintain accurate daily logs of residents' daily activities, needs, and issues.
• Assist with personal hygiene and grooming for residents.
• Use proper body mechanics to lift/move and provide prescribed exercises.
• Inspect home at shift start for safety, report deficiencies by shift end.
• Conduct fire and severe weather evacuation drills as directed by supervisor.
• Follow plans for emergencies and disasters including medical, fire, weather, and missing persons.
