Brightway Living & Learning on Long Island is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with developmental disabilities in daily living, learning new skills, and staying connected to the community.

This full-time, on-site role offers an hourly rate of $21.00–$23.10/hour. A valid NYS driver’s license for 18+ months with a clean driving history is required, and new hires meeting criteria will start at the listed rate. Shifts are Monday–Friday 8am–4pm.

Qualifications

• Must have valid NYS Driver's License for 18+ months with clean driving history.
• Full-Time, on-site DSP role with 8am-4pm shifts.
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide individualized support with personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and community outings.
• Foster independence by helping individuals develop life skills and make choices.
• Promote social inclusion by supporting participation in community activities.
• Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating empathy and patience.
• Collaborate effectively with a supportive team of DSPs, supervisors, and families.
