Job summary

BERKSHIRE FAMILY AND INDIVIDUAL RESOURCES INC seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with disabilities in a group home. Responsibilities include personal care, mobility support, and helping participants engage in community activities to promote independence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or 1 year related field experience.
• Must possess basic math skills; ability to read & write.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; multitasking and good judgement.
• Valid US driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide supports for individuals in daily living and community activities.
• Assist with personal care tasks, mobility, and medical treatments per ISP.
• Maintain a safe home environment and complete required documentation.
• Assist with medications as per MAP policy and keep home secure.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; complete timesheets on time.
