Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide person-centered care and support for individuals in a residential setting. Build relationships, assist with daily living activities, and promote community involvement.

No formal education is required; on-the-job training is provided. A valid driver's license and DHS background check are required. Competitive pay and a hiring bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and document care needs.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships while providing guidance and support
• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, hygiene, meals, and transportation
• Support community involvement and independent living skills
• Advocate for rights, needs, and preferences of people served
• Monitor health and report changes as needed
• Complete required documentation and participate in training and meetings
• Support up to 4 residents in a residential group home
• Collaborate with a mission-driven team focused on dignity, respect, and inclusion
