Job summary

The Chimes, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges in a compassionate, team-driven setting in Maryland. The role pays $20.25/hour and runs Sun-Wed from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

You will provide hands-on care, help with daily living tasks, and document progress while following individualized care plans. Training is provided, and the position offers growth within a mission-driven nonprofit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (or equivalent).
• Experience in disability services preferred, but training is provided.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver's license with either: 3 years unsuspended history with ≤3 points or 2 years unsuspended history with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care tasks (dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing).
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications per policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques to encourage positive outcomes.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• Some roles may require travel between Residential and Day programs.
