Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands-on assistance and positive direction to individuals with disabilities. The role focuses on helping people live as independently as possible with dignity and respect, while documenting care and collaborating with the team.

The DSP will support daily living activities, safety, and personal growth, in a mission-driven, equal opportunity workplace across Merrillville, Hobart, and Griffith locations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required due to transporting persons served.
• Background clearance is required as part of onboarding.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to read, write, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and more.
