Job summary

QSAC, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Queens Village, NY to assist individuals with developmental disabilities. Duties include promoting independence, following treatment plans and providing safety and support to help people lead self-directed lives.

Qualifications

• Must have NYS Driver's License.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to develop and maintain relationships.
• Promote health, safety and emotional well-being of the individuals.
• Support self-directed lives and honor personality, preferences, culture and strengths.
• Transport individuals in agency vehicles as needed.
• Adhere to established treatment plans.
