Job summary

Thrive Community Support Services (Thrive CSS) seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with IDD in homes and communities. You’ll help build independence, routines, and community connections.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, supporting skill development, and promoting participation in activities, with flexible day, evening, and weekend shifts. Part-time and full-time opportunities with competitive hourly pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass required background checks (PA clearances).
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience supporting individuals with IDD is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (personal care, meal preparation, household tasks)
• Support skill development to promote independence and self-advocacy
• Encourage participation in community activities, employment, and social opportunities
• Follow individual support plans, behavioral support strategies, and health plans
• Ensure health, safety, rights, and dignity are upheld at all times
• Complete accurate and timely service documentation
• Communicate changes, concerns, or incidents to supervisors as required
