Whole Life is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join our Connecticut team. DSPs provide person-centered care, assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and support clients in community integration and daily routines.

The role emphasizes building trust with clients and families, maintaining safety and dignity, documenting observations, and collaborating with managers and caregivers to implement care plans.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a background check and provide documents.
• Must be able to document care in English and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support medical appointments.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment through light housekeeping and laundry.
• Engage clients in social activities and community outings to promote independence.
• Use mobility equipment with proper techniques.
• Document daily activities, observations, and incidents accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
• Implement individualized care plans.
