Job summary

Benchmark Human Services, in Augusta, GA, is seeking qualified Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join the Enact team in transitional homes for adults with IDD. Successful applicants will attend paid training to obtain required certifications. No experience is necessary, learn on-the-job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid auto insurance and driver's license.
• Some college preferred.
• Some experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.

Responsibilities

• Participate as part of an interdisciplinary team in the development and implementation of each client's individual plans.
• Provide transportation to clients for daily activities and to and from Crisis Support Home.
• Plan and participate directly in recreational, therapeutic, and training activities of the clients.
• Provide positive behavioral supports according to individual BSPs and respond to emergency situations as trained.
• Monitor the general well-being of the clients served by implementing health care protocols and administering medications.
• Follow food management policies and assists clients in preparing nutritious meals according to the menu.
• Other duties as assigned.
