Job summary

Siffrin is hiring Direct Support Professionals to join our substitute team serving adults with developmental disabilities in Summit County, Ohio. You will provide direct care, promote independence, and help individuals reach goals in residential and community settings.

We offer flexible scheduling (day, evening, overnight, weekdays and weekends) and paid training. Ideal candidates are dependable, caring, and good communicators who can work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Reliable transportation and ability to pass background checks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals in residential and community settings.
• Assist with daily living activities and personal goals.
• Support participation in community activities and outings.
• Encourage independence and skill development.
• Complete required documentation and service records.
• Transport individuals to appointments and events when needed.

What You'll Do

As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide direct care and support to individuals in residential and community settings while promoting independence, dignity, choice, and personal growth.

• Assisting individuals with daily living activities and personal goals
• Supporting participation in community activities and outings
• Encouraging independence and skill development
• Assisting with meal preparation, housekeeping, and household tasks
• Maintaining a safe, positive, and supportive environment
• Completing required documentation and service records
• Supporting health, wellness, and personal care needs as appropriate
• Transporting individuals to appointments, activities, and community events when needed
• Building positive relationships with individuals, families, and team members
