Job summary

Almost Family Oregon is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Bend-area team. This part-time role has potential to grow to full-time and offers meaningful support to individuals in their daily lives and community involvement.

You will assist with ADLs, transportation, and home tasks while maintaining confidentiality and providing compassionate, person-centered care. We offer paid training, flexible schedules, and a supportive team.

• Able to maintain strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide attendant care and relief care for clients.
• Help clients engage in community activities and social events.

Pay: $22 – $24 per hour, paid biweekly

What You’ll Do

As a DSP, you’ll provide attendant care, relief care, DSA and help clientsengage in community activities such as social events, shopping, volunteer work, and more.

You’ll also:

• Support Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) — physical, emotional, behavioral, and communication needs

• Provide transportation for medical appointments, errands, and community outings

• Assist with household tasks and home management

• Encourage and model life skills and independence

• Promote positive self-esteem and build meaningful relationships

• Follow individual care plans and maintain accurate documentation

Who We’re Looking For

You are someone who is:

• 18+ years old

• Experienced: 1+ year supporting someone with I/DD (professionally or personally)

• Compassionate, patient, and reliable

• Able to maintain strict confidentiality

• A team player who also thrives working independently

• Open to shifts that may include days, evenings, weekends and overnights

Requirements:

• Validdriver’s license, active auto insurance, and reliable vehicle

• Able to pass a criminal background check

• Able to obtain a CPR/First Aid Certification (resources available upon hire)

• Able to lift up to 50 LBS

• Be comfortable working in a diverse range of home environments
