Job summary

Almost Family in Oregon is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide attendant care and relief care to clients in Bend, Redmond, Terrebonne, Sisters and nearby towns. Part-time to start with full-time potential, offering $22–$24 per hour with biweekly pay and paid training.

You’ll assist with ADLs, transportation to appointments, home tasks, and everyday life skills while following individual care plans and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old
• 1+ year supporting someone with I/DD (professionally or personally)
• Compassionate, patient and reliable
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality
• Team player who can also work independently
• Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends and overnights
• Valid driver’s license, active auto insurance, reliable vehicle
• Background check clearance required
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (resources available on hire)
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable in diverse home environments

What You’ll Do

As a DSP, you’ll provide attendant care, relief care, DSA and help clientsengage in community activities such as social events, shopping, volunteer work, and more.

You’ll also:

• Support Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) — physical, emotional, behavioral, and communication needs

• Provide transportation for medical appointments, errands, and community outings

• Assist with household tasks and home management

• Encourage and model life skills and independence

• Promote positive self-esteem and build meaningful relationships

• Follow individual care plans and maintain accurate documentation

Requirements:

• Validdriver’s license, active auto insurance, and reliable vehicle

• Able to pass a criminal background check

• Able to obtain a CPR/First Aid Certification (resources available upon hire)

• Able to lift up to 50 LBS

• Be comfortable working in a diverse range of home environments
