Job summary

Almost Family is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Oregon for part-time hours with potential to transition to full-time. You will provide attendant care, relief care, DSA, and help clients engage in community activities, including social events, shopping, and volunteer work.

Requirements include 18+ and 1+ year experience with I/DD, valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and CPR/First Aid certification (resources provided).

Location: Bend, Redmond, Terrebonne, Sisters, Madras, Prineville, Sunriver, La Pine (Depending on your preference)
Pay: $22 – $24 per hour, paid biweekly

What You’ll Do

As a DSP, you’ll provide attendant care, relief care, DSA and help clientsengage in community activities such as social events, shopping, volunteer work, and more.

You’ll also:

• Support Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) — physical, emotional, behavioral, and communication needs

• Provide transportation for medical appointments, errands, and community outings

• Assist with household tasks and home management

• Encourage and model life skills and independence

• Promote positive self-esteem and build meaningful relationships

• Follow individual care plans and maintain accurate documentation

You are someone who is:

• 18+ years old

• Experienced: 1+ year supporting someone with I/DD (professionally or personally)

• Able to maintain strict confidentiality

• Open to shifts that may include days, evenings, weekends and overnights

Requirements:

• Validdriver’s license, active auto insurance, and reliable vehicle

• Able to pass a criminal background check

• Able to obtain a CPR/First Aid Certification (resources available upon hire)

• Able to lift up to 50 LBS

• Be comfortable working in a diverse range of home environments
