Job summary

The Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This part-time role features weekend shifts with 12-20 hours of work across 2nd & 3rd shifts, including sleep shifts, at Lucas and Wood County locations.

Pay is $17.00 per hour (sleep shifts $13.00), with benefits including flexible schedules, paid time off, and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proof of auto insurance.
• Ability to pass BCI/FBI background checks and required screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, person-centered support in daily living tasks.
• Assist with personal care: ambulation, bathing, grooming, toileting, etc.
• Engage individuals in social, recreational, and community activities.
• Prepare meals, cleaning, laundry, and household tasks.
• Transport individuals safely to appointments or social outings.
• Encourage personal growth and achievement of goals.
• Accurately document activities, incidents, and client progress.
• Communicate professionally with team members, families, and clients.
• Participate in required paid training and team meetings.

Available Schedules: Part-Time - Weekends shifts and one day a week
Anticipated Hours: 12-20 hours - 2nd & 3rd shifts (sleep & awake)
