Job summary

New Communities Inc in Skowhegan, ME is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide direct care for adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism in a residential program. You will assist with personal care, administer medications, model independence, and support community outings using company vehicles.

Part-time, with flexible per diem shifts available; paid training, tuition reimbursement, health/dental/vision, PTO, and retirement match are offered to qualifying staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Active driver's license required.
• Experience in direct care preferred but not required; training provided.
• Must communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism in a residential setting.
• Administer medications and assist with personal care.
• Encourage independence and participation in home and community activities.
• Promote recreational outings and transportation using company vehicles.
