Job summary

Skills of Central PA, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals to work in residential group homes across Centre County. DSPs will use person-centered thinking to support daily living, plan activities, and help the people you support engage in their communities.

The role offers day and evening shifts with weekend rotation, and NADSP certification receives a higher rate. Training is provided, and you will assist with transportation and medication administration as needed.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or college degree required for the DSP role.
• Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license preferred for community-based tasks.

Responsibilities

• Use person-centered thinking to understand wants and needs of the people you support.
• Plan parties, games, crafts, outings based on interests.
• Drive people to community activities and appointments.
• Help build meaningful relationships within the community.
• Support daily living needs, independence, and personal care.
• Administer medications after training and complete documentation.
