Job summary

ATC Healthcare Services, LLC is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) for Charleston, South Carolina to provide person-centered care to individuals with developmental disabilities. You will assist with activities of daily living, supervise medication administration, and promote independence while ensuring health and safety.

Requirements include CPR certification, a High School Diploma or GED, and a background check. A minimum of one year of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR certification from the AHA or American Red Cross.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Drug Screen and Background Check required.
• Minimum of one year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or related settings.
• Maintain professionalism, patience, and a positive attitude in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living to promote independence.
• Provide medication assistance and health safety per the plan of supports.
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve goals.

Position Summary

Supports individuals with disabilities and special needs by providing professional, respectful, person-centered care to help individuals achieve goals outlined in their plan of supports. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living such as dressing, bathing, meal preparation, housekeeping, medication assistance, and promoting independence while ensuring health and safety.

Position Requirements

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• High School Diploma or GED
• Drug Screen and Background Check required
• Minimum of one (1) year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, special needs, substance abuse, or long-term care preferred
• Ability to maintain professionalism, patience, and a positive attitude in challenging situations
